Event Attendance Terms & Conditions
Safety, inclusivity and mutual respect
The shared desire is to create and foster a culture of safety, inclusivity and mutual respect without fear of censure or oppression and everyone’s voice is valued equally. This can only happen when we all behave in a respectful and professional manner toward each other.
Anyone who behaves or speaks to another person in a manner that is improper, inconsistent or undermining (eg: any disruptive, aggressive, bullying, harassing, discriminating or threatening speech or behaviour) will be asked to stop and if they do not stop, then they may be asked to leave the event. In extreme cases, that person (or persons) may be assisted to leave the event.
To protect the physical health, safety and welfare of everyone, please comply with all health and safety guidelines, emergency procedures or instructions given by the event organiser. It is also recommended that anyone who is not feeling well does not attend the event or observes the appropriate personal hygiene and protection measures (such as wearing of face masks).
To preserve the integrity of the event and out of respect for each other’s privacy, no private filming, recording or photographs are to be taken during the event. Where the event organiser has arranged professional recording, filming or photographs to be taken during the event, all reasonable steps will be taken to preserve the privacy of attendees.
Notwithstanding careful planning and our best endeavours, we know that sometimes expectations will not be met and things will go wrong. So in those times please be in pray with us, that we may be patient with everyone, kind to each other, not repaying wrong for wrong but joyful always, giving thanks for each other in all circumstances as Christ has called us. [paraphrased 1 Thess 5 v 14-18]
Basic Housekeeping
It is important that an accurate record is created of everyone who attends the event and to ensure that they are entitled to attend. To achieve that the full name of each person attending and the church that they represent will be requested and recorded upon admission to the event.
If anyone has special physical, medical or dietary needs, it is important that these are known by the event organiser prior to the event so steps may be taken where possible to accommodate them.
Changes and cancellations
All reasonable steps will be taken to provide notice of any cancellation or change to the event as soon as it is known, however some cancellations and/or changes will not be able to be anticipated or may be due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control and may result in no notice being able to be given.
